Code.org promotes an “Hour of Code” every year. This is to promote computer science and encourage people to do code and learn how to think critically. There’s a number of great tutorials out there from many different places. On Khan academy alone there’s one drawing with code using the canvas element and JavaScript, one to create websites and another to work with Databases. It’s a great thing to do! Check it out!
